Lucas Biglia made his Lazio debut today, but President Claudio Lotito is “disappointed by season ticket sales.”
The Biancocelesti won the Coppa Italia in May and will face Juventus for the Italian Super Cup on August 18.
This afternoon the team beat a local team from Belluno 8-0 while using a new 3-4-3 system with midfielder Biglia making his debut.
Miroslav Klose and Antonio Rozzi scored twice, while Senad Lulic, Ederson, Sergio Floccari and Keita were also on target.
“It is early to make predictions, even if we already have certain targets in mind,” said Lotito.
“We have already achieved all the transfer objectives we set out for, albeit with a struggle because the market is not easy thanks to the behaviour of certain figures.
“I will admit I’m a little disappointed by season ticket sales. I don’t know what else a President can do after winning a trophy and buying very important players.
“I know the fans like names that hit the headlines, but the players we brought in have great potential. The season ticket sales do not match our efforts.”
