Walter Mazzarri has admitted Vicenza caused his Inter side a few problems in Monday’s friendly at Pinzolo.

The Nerazzurri collected a 3-1 victory, but the former Napoli boss wasn’t totally satisfied with certain aspects of their play.

“We got caught on the counter attack a few too many times and that's something we have to eradicate,” the Coach told Inter Channel.

“Over the year we'll come across teams who sit back and wait until they can hit us on the break and we'll have to be more careful.

“I also got a bit annoyed on some of the set pieces, but it's normal that the lads aren't so sharp at the moment.

“They also can't always remember the things I've been able to instruct them on in this short time we've been working together.

“We wanted to round off this first phase of our preparations in a certain way and in that respect I'm more than satisfied.

“I saw the lads are starting to understand what I want. Clearly the speed of play isn’t where I’d like it to be yet, given the heavy workload they’ve had.

“But, right now, the last thing we're looking at is the result. We're still trying to get our balance right. Yet, as I said, I'm not worried and I'm pleased with the work we've done.”
