Reports suggest Roma directors are in crunch talks with Arsenal for Gervinho this afternoon, having offered €8m.
Their interest in the Ivory Coast international has been clear for several weeks and intensified over the last couple of days.
Sky Sport Italia claim director of sport Walter Sabatini is in London today for face-to-face negotiations with Arsenal and intermediaries.
The Gunners would be willing to release Gervinho for the €8m offered – approximately £6.9m.
In turn, Gervinho is happy to join Roma and reunite with his former Lille manager Rudi Garcia.
The 26-year-old has been left out of Arsenal’s pre-season tour of Asia, as last term he scored five goals in 18 Premier League games.
Meanwhile, it’s also reported the Giallorossi have offered Pablo Daniel Osvaldo to Arsenal, Fulham and Tottenham during their London trip.
The striker was consistently criticised by fans during pre-season training, with some banners referring to him as ‘a coward’ and a ‘worm.’
