Gonzalo Higuain and Pepe Reina “have passed their medicals,” revealed Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis.
He announced the news on Twitter this evening, effectively completing the transfers. Striker Higuain arrives from Real Madrid for €37m, while goalkeeper Reina is on a one-season loan from Liverpool.
“Higuain and Reina have passed their medicals and will soon join the group,” said De Laurentiis.
“On Monday evening we will have a huge celebration at the San Paolo. You can get to know the new players and more.
“You’ll discover the new jerseys, listen to the new club anthem and meet the Napoli Cheerleaders. Napoli-Galatasaray is going to be a great night that will remain in our history.
“We can say that we’ve worked hard, but we won’t stop here! Forza Napoli Always!”
There have been reports today that the Partenopei are also in talks for Porto striker Jackson Martinez and Olympique Lyonnais midfielder Maxime Gonalons.
