Zenit St Petersburg boss Luciano Spalletti has rubbished rumours that he could sign Miralem Pjanic.
Reports in the Russian and Italian Press recently had claimed that the Italian Coach may try and bid for the Roma playmaker.
But the former Giallorossi tactician has insisted that is not the case.
“We have ambitions lower than these sort of players,” he told ItaSportPress.
“We don’t need strikers or midfielder, just two defenders.
“We are missing players in defence, and at least one of those has to have a Russian passport anyway.
“If a player wants to leave their club, that changes things.
“But at the moment I’m only after two defenders.”
