Roma have formally announced a two-year contract with Douglas Maicon, who terminated his deal with Manchester City.
The Brazilian right-back has been training with his new teammates already, but the official statement was only released this afternoon on his 32nd birthday.
“Roma have underwritten a contract with player Maicon Douglas Sisenando, two last two years, with expiry set for June 30 2015.
“The player comes from Manchester City FC, with whom he terminated his contract by mutual consent at the moment he signed for Roma.”
Former Inter star Maicon made only 11 appearances in the Premier League last season due to a series of knee injuries.
