Verona show interest in Pelizzoli

Newly promoted Verona are showing an interest in Pescara goalkeeper Ivan Pelizzoli, reports the Gazzetta dello Sport.

The custodian has seen his name linked with a possible move this summer after Udinese were paired with him.

The former Roma man’s future has been placed into some doubt after the club’s relegation from Serie A last season. His contract also expires in 2014.

Pelizzoli, 32, appeared in 11 Serie A games last term given that young Mattia Perin was considered as first choice for most of the season.

Pescara have stated on numerous occasions that they are looking to keep the ex-Atalanta youngster with them for the new campaign.
