Stefano Sorrentino wouldn’t necessarily leave relegated Palermo this summer if a Serie A club made him an offer.
The goalkeeper has been paired with a number of top-flight sides, but he’s ready to play in Serie B if necessary.
“My name has often popped up in transfer rumours, but I’m a Palermo player for now,” the veteran told the Corriere dello Sport.
“When I decided to marry the Palermo project in January, I knew there was a risk that we could be relegated.
“I don’t know what the club’s plans are, but if an offer arrives then I will sit down with them and we’ll make a decision.
“Serie A is always Serie A, but Serie B with Palermo is the equivalent of playing for a variety of outfits in the top flight.”
Sorrentino, 34, is a possible target for former club Torino. He’s also played for Varese, AEK Athens, Recreativo and Chievo in his career.
