Italy legend Dino Zoff is unsure how competitive Napoli will be at the start of the season after so many changes at the Stadio San Paolo.

The Azzurri are being named as serious title contenders after a busy transfer campaign so far which has included the €37m capture of Gonzalo Higuain from Real Madrid.

Zoff, however, thinks it could take time for them to settle, especially as they’ve hired a new Coach too in the form of Rafael Benitez.

“Napoli have moved well on the market, but it is hard to talk about the Scudetto,” the former goalkeeper told the Corriere dello Sport.

“When you change so many players, you have to verify the strength of the team on the field of play.

“However, if they can keep growing at the pace that they have been then they can compete for prestigious targets.”

The 1982 World Cup winner is looking forward to the new campaign, one where he expects Juventus” data-scaytid=”11″>Juventus to underline their strength.

“Juventus will be favourites, without a doubt,” he continued. “The Bianconeri were already strong and they have strengthened further on the market.

“Coach Antonio Conte has done some extraordinary things and has managed to win. He’s also been able to do that by playing good football and not everyone does that.

“Benitez has won a lot too, but we firstly have to see how strong Napoli are.”
