The agent of Lorenzo Insigne will meet with Napoli officials this month in an effort to get his client a new improved contract.
“I think there will be talks at the start of next week in order to discuss a renewal,” representative Fabio Andreotti told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
Insigne, 22, is a product of the club’s youth system who is currently tied to his hometown outfit until June 2017.
Insigne is about to start his second top-flight campaign at the Stadio San Paolo following his return from loan spells at Foggia and Pescara.
The forward netted five goals in 37 League games for the Azzurri last term under Walter Mazzarri. He will be bossed by Rafael Benitez this season.
Insigne was a key figure for the Italian Under-21 squad and he’s now expected to become a regular addition to Cesare Prandelli’s Giro Azzurro.
The attacker is thought to be currently earning €700,000 a campaign in Naples.
