Verona have become the third Serie A club this summer to show an interest in Juventus outcast Reto Ziegler.
The left-back is available for transfer after never breaking into the plans of boss Antonio Conte since they both arrived at the club in 2011.
Ziegler, netted on a Bosman from Sampdoria, has spent the last two seasons on loan at Fenerbahce and Lokomotiv Moscow.
The 27-year-old is already on the transfer radar of city rivals Torino and promoted Sassuolo.
Sky Sport Italia have claimed that fellow Serie A new boys Verona have made contact with the Turin giants to enquire about the player’s asking price.
Ziegler, who earns €1.5m a season after tax, is a Switzerland international.
