It is now official that Sampdoria have loaned Sergio Romero to Monaco with an option to buy.
The Argentine goalkeeper underwent a medical this week and the statement appeared on the Blucerchiati website this morning.
“UC Sampdoria announce the loan, with option to buy at the end of the season, to AS Monaco of player Sergio German Romero.”
It's reported the option to buy is worth €6.5m.
Samp are now looking for a replacement and the favourite is Siena shot-stopper Gianluca Pegolo.
