Coach Vincenzo Montella is on the verge of putting pen to paper on a new contract at Fiorentina.
The Italian began negotiations over an extension with club officials during the Viola’s pre-season training retreat at Moena.
Tuttosport claims that an agreement, in principal, was reached at the time and Montella will now add his signature to a contract which will expire in June 2017.
Montella, 39, led the Tuscan giants to a fourth-placed finish last season in his debut campaign on the Viola bench.
The former striker only began his professional coaching career in February 2011 with Roma. He then spent the 2011-12 term at Catania.
