“At times I get the feeling some are just waiting for us to fail so they can bring negativity into the atmosphere,” said Petkovic in his Press conference.
“We could and should have done better against Juventus, but the team is calm and has not lost confidence.
“Now the Serie A season begins and it’s a new chapter. We want to qualify for the Champions League, then go as far as possible in the Coppa Italia and Europa League.
“I do not fear Udinese, even if I respect them. Antonio Di Natale can make the difference, though the important thing is not to make the same mistakes we made against Juventus.”
While the other teams in Serie A have revamped, Lucas Biglia is the only real big buy for Lazio.
“I am satisfied with the squad at my disposal and will do everything possible to keep hold of the best players. Perhaps we need a little more, so if a strong player were to arrive he’d be very welcome, but I have faith in my men.”
