Cagliari have shot down claims they will be selling Davide Astori before the transfer window closes.
The centre-back has seen his name linked with a variety of clubs over the summer and the decision to leave him out of the side for the start of the season has fuelled the transfer rumour mill.
“There is nothing for Astori,” Rossoblu sporting director Nicola Salerno told Sport Italia. “Nothing with Milan or Roma.
“Neither of those clubs have asked him for us during the transfer window.”
The 26-year-old was thought to be very close to signing for Napoli this month, but the move collapsed.
Astori, capped five times by his country, was signed by the Sardinian outfit in 2008 from Milan.
