Milan assistant manager Mauro Tassotti admits “we can’t get it wrong” against PSV in tonight’s Champions League play-off.

“This is one of those nights where we can’t get it wrong and there is a lot of tension,” Tassotti told Sky Sport Italia.

“We will step on to the field to play and to win the game. Our intention is to take the initiative and control the match.

“This is the most difficult play-off faced by Milan, as PSV really know how to play football. Their season started several weeks ago, so they also have the advantage in terms of fitness levels.”

Confidence was hit hard on Saturday by a shock 2-1 Serie A defeat to Hellas Verona.

“We got very angry and talked it over a great deal, as we didn’t like the attitude even more than the errors. As we got closer to this game, we helped the team gain confidence.”
