The 29-year-old left Arsenal on a Bosman free transfer for the Diavolo in 2008. It is thought that he has signed a three-year deal worth around £2m a season.

Flamini, formerly of Marseille, scored seven goals in 96 League games for Milan over a five-season spell in Serie A.
