The agent of Alexander Merkel has admitted the midfielder will probably leave Udinese before the window closes.
The German has been paired with a possible move to PAOK Salonika and Fabio Parisi has told Sport Italia a switch is on the cards.
“There is a half promise to send him to Greece,” the representative noted. “We’ll know a bit more in the next few days.
“Nevertheless, it is likely that the boy will leave Udinese in order to go and play regularly elsewhere.”
The 21-year-old, formerly of Milan, joined Udinese in January from Genoa. However, he’s only been given five Serie A games by boss Francesco Guidolin since his arrival.
