Milan director Umberto Gandini laughs that “at least our fans can see Barcelona again” for the fourth time in three years.
These sides were paired together in the Champions League in the 2011-12 group phase and in last season’s second round.
“In the hall we were joking before the draw that we could face Barcelona again, but that proved to be the case,” Gandini told Sky Sport Italia.
“It’s the fourth time in three years. Oh well, at least our fans can see Barcelona again at San Siro with the added bonus of their new arrival Neymar.”
“It’s a great group. Ajax and Celtic are not sides to be underestimated.”
Barcelona star Leo Messi also commented on the draw in Monaco.
“It was a very difficult draw with wonderful games. We’ll have the possibility to play Milan again and Ajax for the first time.”
