Having been close to Inter, it’s now claimed Verona are on the verge of a deal for Porto talent Juan Manuel Iturbe.
The 20-year-old Argentine forward was put on the market by Porto earlier this month.
Inter were immediately interested in the deal, as were Genoa, but according to the Gazzetta dello Sport Verona have emerged as front runners.
They are thought to be very close to securing a deal for Iturbe on loan with option to buy at the end of the season.
Playing on the right, he would fit into Verona’s 4-3-3 system alongside Luca Toni.
