Allegri: 'Milan have Kaka deal'

Max Allegri explained his tactical shift and revealed Milan “have an agreement with Real Madrid” for Kaka.

The Coach spoke to Sky Sport Italia after a 3-1 victory over Cagliari at San Siro.

“I liked the approach to this game, as we attacked and defended well. It was an important victory, even if we allowed Cagliari a little too much of the ball,” said Allegri.

“We made some mistakes and have already conceded entirely avoidable goals so far this season. In any case, the week went well with Champions League qualification and this victory.”

Stephan El Shaarawy was surprisingly benched in favour of Robinho, as the trident attack was shelved.

“With Kevin-Prince Boateng leaving I lacked a wide attacker, plus my idea was to go back to two strikers because Mario Balotelli needs a partner who runs into space. Riccardo Montolivo did very well as a trequartista.

“We didn’t have much time to test out this new system and I think El Shaarawy can learn to be a support striker, but of course it’ll take some more practice. There is absolutely no El Shaarawy problem.”

Meanwhile, Kaka is on his way from Real Madrid, as Vice-President Adriano Galliani is in Spain for negotiations.

“Galliani told me before the game that we have an agreement with Real Madrid and now need to agree personal terms with Kaka. There are another 24 hours to the transfer deadline, so we’ll see what happens.”

When asked whether another transfer target could be Cagliari defender Davide Astori – who was on the bench today – Allegri kept the door open.

“I think Davide is one of the best Italian defenders in circulation. We have good defenders anyway and I am happy with what we’ve got. Astori would be useful for many clubs, so we’ll see what happens.”
