Milan youth Andrea Petagna opted to join Sampdoria after talking to Antonio Nocerino and Giampaolo Pazzini.
The young striker will have his medical at Doria this afternoon after being pushed out of Milanello by Alessandro Matri’s arrival from Juventus last week.
“I spoke with Nocerino and Pazzini,” the 18-year-old told TMW. “They both advised me to choose Sampdoria.
“They spoke well of boss Delio Rossi and I’m really happy. Now I want to feature as much as I can with the Doria jersey.”
Rossi bossed Nocerino at Palermo and Pazzini at Atalanta. The latter is also a former Sampdoria player.
Petagna will join the Marassi outfit on loan, while Samp will have the option to sign 50 per cent of his contract at the end of the season.
