Thiago Motta has conceded that he could be tempted to return to Serie A. “Who knows what will happen?”
The midfielder was recalled to the Italian national team over the weekend for their World Cup qualifiers against Bulgaria and Czech Republic.
And the Paris Saint-Germain veteran has claimed that he could return to the peninsula, whilst also commenting on a range of topics including Marco Verratto, Rafa Benitez’s Napoli and the World Cup.
“I am happy to be back in the squad,” he told reporters. “I was hoping to be recalled.
“I am not really thinking about the World Cup next summer – we’re all just concentrating on the next games.
“I do not know if I’ll return to Serie A. I have not spoken with my agent. I am happy at PSG, but who knows what will happen?
“Juventus are the strongest team in the League this season, but Napoli have also strengthened a lot.
“Benitez is with the right team to do well.
“Verratti? Last year he drew a lot as a player and as a man. He can become one of the best players in the world.”
