Milan’s Champions League squad has Kaka and Alessandro Matri, but no M’Baye Niang or Riccardo Saponara.
The list of players eligible for the group phase of the competition was released this afternoon with a few surprises.
Late signings Matri, Kaka and Valter Birsa are present, as is currently injured striker Giampaolo Pazzini.
However, forward Niang – who played against Barcelona last season – and Italy Under-21 international trequartista Saponara are left out.
Milan Champions League squad: Abbiati, Amelia, Coppola; Abate, Bonera, Constant, De Sciglio, Mexes, Silvestre, Zaccardo, Zapata; Birsa, Cristante, de Jong, Emanuelson, Montolivo, Muntari, Nocerino, Poli; Balotelli, El Shaarawy, Kakà, Matri, Pazzini, Robinho
