Gennaro Gattuso will not be sacked by Palermo should they lose at Padova in Serie B on Sunday evening.
The former Milan midfielder was only appointed over the summer, but he’s already under pressure after picking up just one point from a possible six this term.
“The Padova game will not be decisive for Gattuso,” President Maurizio Zamparini told Stadio News. “But it is a match we can’t get wrong.
“This is what Serie B is, it’s a Division where you need time to find the right blend and set-up.”
Palermo are favourites for promotion following their relegation last term. However, they drew 1-1 at Modena in Week 1 and then lost 2-1 at home to Empoli at the weekend.
