And despite being linked with a return to San Siro, the goalscorer opted instead for Stamford Bridge.
“Although he has won everything, Samuel has not lost his desire,” Mourinho told Chelsea TV.
“He came to England for the same reasons I went to Spain. He wants to be the first player to win the League in Spain, Italy and England.
“He is very motivated. He really wanted to play in the Premier League.”
