Antonio Candreva is ready to “double my efforts” this year for Lazio and Italy leading into the World Cup.
“My World Cup can only be earned via a great year with Lazio, which is why I will double my efforts,” he told the Corriere dello Sport.
“Cesare Prandelli wants me to be unpredictable, so I should move around from right to left and between the lines.”
Candreva started in the 1-0 victory over Bulgaria on Friday and provided the winning assist, so hopes to retain his place for the qualifier against the Czech Republic on Tuesday night.
“We knew that it would be a struggle against Bulgaria. We are extremely concentrated for the next match.
“We only need three points to book our ticket to the World Cup and we won’t let ourselves get taken by surprise.”
