Alessio Cerci has shaken off a knock and hopes to play in Italy-Czech Republic. “I want to prove my worth.”
The Torino winger is particularly eager to take part in Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier as it is taking place in Turin’s Juventus Stadium.
“I underwent treatment for a week and now feel good, in great shape and confident,” the 26-year-old told journalists at the Italy training camp.
“The important thing is that I no longer feel any kind of pain. Now I want to prove my worth, it doesn’t matter what role I will be used in.”
Cerci has been recently switched to a more advanced and central role by Torino Coach Giampiero Ventura.
“I am a winger, but I can also play as a striker.”
