Genoa defender Luca Antonelli will be out for a month after injuring his ankle on international duty with Italy.
The full-back limped off during the 1-0 win over Bulgaria last Friday and was forced to leave the Azzurri camp early.
Genoa released a statement this afternoon confirming tests had shown a sprained left ankle with ligament damage.
“The prognosis is expected to be three to four weeks.”
Antonelli will therefore miss the Genoa derby, while Mario Sampirisi is also suspended for the Grifone.
