Anxious Palermo fans have been assured that Stefano Sorrentino and Abel Hernandez will not be sold during the January transfer window.
The goalkeeper and striker remained in Sicily over the summer despite attracting the interest of Serie A clubs.
“I think that Abel and Stefano remained at Palermo with the right spirit,” Vice-President Guglielmo Miccichè told Mediagol.
“They wanted to be part of a side that wants to win the Serie B championship and return to the top flight.
“If Sorrentino and Hernandez are targeting a return to Serie A, then I believe they will be able to do that with Palermo next season.
“We’ll keep them for the entirety of this season.”
The Rosanero, now bossed by former Milan warrior Gennaro Gattuso, are joint third in the table – three points behind leaders Empoli.
They will travel to Spezia in Week 5.
