Gonzalo Higuain hailed a “great result” for Napoli and admitted “Serie A is tougher than La Liga, that’s for sure.”
The Partenopei are joint top of their Champions League group this evening after beating 10-man Borussia Dortmund 2-1, while Arsenal won by the same scoreline away to Olympique Marseille.
“It’s a very important victory against a side that was runner-up in the Champions League last season and is top of the Bundesliga, so this is a great result,” Higuain told Sky Sport Italia.
“Goals are important in the League or the Champions League, so I don’t really differentiate. The important thing was to win tonight and with Lorenzo Insigne’s goal we were able to control the situation more.”
‘Pipita’ has been reborn at the San Paolo after a tough few years on the fringes of the Real Madrid squad.
“Serie A is tougher than La Liga, that’s for sure. We have a great team, a great Coach and I hope we can continue like this.
“A striker always likes to feel important and know he has the faith of the Coach.”
