Sassuolo Coach Eusebio Di Francesco took “full responsibility” for their humiliating 7-0 home defeat to Inter.
This is their first ever Serie A season, but after four rounds they have no points, one goal scored and 15 conceded.
“I take full responsibility for the defeat,” Di Francesco told Sky Sport Italia.
“In order to play football you need certain components. Inter proved they are a great side, but we did not play up to the standard of the top flight.
“Fortunately we’ll be right back in action next week and we’ll work on the psychological aspect to get back on track.
“It can happen to lose against Inter, but not like this. I am someone who never gives up and I want to transmit that sensation to the players.
“It was incredible today, as we seemed to concede a goal with every shot.”
