Coach Eusebio Di Francesco says he’s ready to prove his worth despite Sassuolo’s disastrous start to the season.
Having led the club to the top flight for the first time in their history, the outfit have lost all four of their Serie A games so far.
The 7-0 home loss to Inter on Sunday means they have also now conceded 15 goals in the process.
“I’m a fighter and I will battle on until the very end,” the former Roma midfielder commented. “My players need to do the same.
“It’s only normal that my position is being questioned, but I won’t throw in the towel because my side can’t be the one seen against Inter.
“So far we have been inadequate and, after the loss against the Nerazzurri, we have to reset and start questioning everything.”
He added: “We also need to work hard on getting our heads right, something that was missing at the weekend.”
The minnows are away to League leaders Napoli tomorrow night, while they will entertain Lazio in Week 6.
