Former Udinese sporting director Fabrizio Larini expected Mehdi Benatia to make a positive impact at Roma.
The Moroccan international has started his Giallorossi adventure well after leaving the Bianconeri in the summer for a reported €13.5m.
“He is an excellent player,” Larini told Il Sussidiario. “He has a good physique and quality as well.
“The goal he scored against Sampdoria last night was beautiful and he got into dangerous positions at set-pieces with Udinese too.
“Benatia is also a natural leader,” Larini added. “Roma made a great signing by swooping for him and you can see the results.”
The 26-year-old has appeared in all five of the club’s League games this season. Roma are top of the table thanks to their 100 per cent record.
