Salvatore Aronica is in talks with Palermo regarding the possible termination of his contract at the Stadio Barbera.
The stopper, 35, has been frozen out of the squad less than a year after arriving at his hometown club from Napoli.
The centre-back, according to the Corriere dello Sport, is too old and his salary is too high for the outfit’s new project following relegation last season.
Aronica, after turning down a number of moves in the summer, is apparently ready to rescind his deal in the hope of finding a new club in January.
