Napoli have rotated their squad for the trip to Genoa, creating a new trident of Marek Hamsik, Goran Pandev and Ezequiel Lavezzi.

The Partenopei feared fatigue after their midweek Coppa Italia quarter-final victory over Inter, so Walter Mazzarri has rested Edinson Cavani and Gokhan Inler.

Miguel Angel Britos and Blerim Dzemaili are given rare starts, while Pandev completes the trident with a fit-again Lavezzi.

Genoa want revenge in this fixture after they were beaten 6-1 at the San Paolo in December, a result that saw Coach Alberto Malesani sacked.

New signings Alberto Gilardino and Giuseppe Sculli – as well as Coach Pasquale Marino – weren’t at Genoa that day, but are present here.

The Grifone have to do without Marco Rossi, Kevin Constant, Luca Antonelli, Dario Dainelli, Miguel Veloso and Cesare Bovo.

Genoa: Frey, Granqvist, Kaladze, Moretti, Mesto, Biondini, Jankovic, Kucka, Sculli, Palacio, Gilardino

Genoa bench: Lupatelli, Sampirisi, Ze Eduardo, Seymour, Birsa, Jorquera, Pratto

Napoli: De Sanctis, Campagnaro, Cannavaro, Britos, Zuniga, Dzemaili, Gargano, Dossena, Hamsik, Lavezzi, Pandev

Napoli bench: Rosati, Grava, Fernandez, Inler, Vargas, Cavani
