Walter Zenga is being named as a contender to replace Stefano Pioli at Bologna should the tactician be sacked.
Pioli, 47, is under pressure at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara given their problematic start to the League campaign.
The Rossoblu find themselves in the relegation zone after picking up just three points from their six games so far.
Bologna, who have yet to win a match this season, were hammered 5-0 by Roma at the Stadio Olimpico last night.
Zenga, a former Italian international, has not worked in the Italian top-flight since leaving Palermo in November 2009.
The ex-Inter and Sampdoria goalkeeper has also bossed Catania in Serie A.
Bologna will entertain Verona next weekend.
