Juan Zuniga’s representative has insisted that the clause in the player's new contract with Napoli is ‘proportional’ to his value.
The Colombia international penned an extension with the Partenopei on Tuesday, tying him to Stadio San Paoli until 2018.
And his agent has insisted that the deal is a good one for all parties, but refused to comment on a reported €35m release clause.
“The clause is proportional to the value of the player” Riccardo Calleri told Radio Marte. “It’s a major deal for Zuniga and for the club.
“We signed a long contract, so he might well end his career at Napoli – we will see in five years.
“The clause is useful and proportional to Zuniga’s value. All I’ll say is that it’s more than €30m.”
