Juan Camilo Zuniga is delighted to have extended his contract with Serie A outfit Napoli. “This is my home.”
The Colombian was attracting the transfer interest of Juventus and Barcelona seeing as he could have been available on a Bosman free transfer next summer.
However, the man who can play in defence or midfield opted to put pen to paper on an extension until 2018 earlier this week.
“I’m happy to have renewed my deal with this club,” he told Radio Kiss Kiss on Thursday. “I’m happy here and I consider the city of Naples my home.
“I want to keep doing well in order to pay back the faith of the club and the fans.”
The 27-year-old joined the outfit in 2009 from Siena. He’s scored four goals in 116 League appearances for the Azzurri.
He has also featured in 10 Coppa Italia ties and 22 European games.
