“I want to see an open and entertaining game with the Giallorossi,” midfielder Kovacic told Inter Channel.

“Roma play really good football and have so many champions in the squad like Francesco Totti, Daniele De Rossi and Miralem Pjanic.

“Naturally we will go on the field in order to win, though we know it won’t be easy considering they are the Serie A leaders.”

The 19-year-old Croatia international would love to take on his fellow countryman Tin Jedvaj, a 17-year-old defender who is waiting for his Serie A debut at Roma.

“Jedvaj is a friend of mine and also a very strong player.”

Kovacic has struggled with injuries over the past few months, but feels he is getting to grips with Walter Mazzarri’s new-look Inter.

“I am in good shape now, as I worked hard and the injury is behind me. I am happy Mazzarri is here, as we are improving also thanks to him.”
