Fiorentina defender Gonzalo Rodriguez has admitted he is ‘very happy’ in Florence and wants to stay with the club.
The Argentine centre-back has been an integral part of the Viola starting XI since his arrival from Villarreal in 2012, and the 29-year-old has insisted he wants to remain with Vincenzo Montella’s team.
“I feel really good in Florence,” he told Radio Lady. “The city is beautiful and the team is strong.
“I still have a year and a half on my contract, but I feel very happy here.
“We’ve got the likes of Mario Gomez, who is a very important player for us. And Giuseppe Rossi, who I’ve known for a long time.
