Aurelio De Laurentiis expects a ‘civil’ game between Derby del Sole rivals Roma and Napoli this Friday evening.
The two southern rivals clash in Serie A for Week 8’s opening fixture occupying the top two positions in the table.
Even with much seen to be riding on this early season meeting, the Vesuviani’s President expects a positive environment at the Stadio Olimpico.
“I expect a civil game and based on sportsmanship, both on the terraces and in the field,” reflected De Laurentiis to Rai Sport on the upcoming affair.
“I call on the Napoli fans to be as extraordinary as usual, whatever happens, whether we win, lose or it is a draw.
“I am for football as the highest expression of sport and the highest expression of culture that every city carries within itself the colours of their team.
“In the colours of my team - this great blue - I would like and hope that this is a beautiful game.”
