Vicini: 'Roma not good enough'

Former Italy Coach Azeglio Vicini believes Serie A leaders Roma “don’t have what it takes to win the Scudetto.”

The Giallorossi have a 100 per cent record after seven rounds, scoring 20 goals and conceding one, but haven’t convinced Italia ‘90 boss Vicini.

“This is a balanced tournament and many teams have great players,” he told Radio Crc.

“It will be a wonderful game between Roma and Napoli on Friday. Roma are a good team, but I don’t think they have what it takes to win the Scudetto.

“As for Napoli, Lorenzo Insigne is a young talent who has to maintain his promise. He must play consistently and put in a strong performance tonight.”

Insigne is expected to play in this evening’s World Cup qualifier Italy-Armenia.
