Rossi: 'Samp need self-esteem'

Delio Rossi believes Sampdoria can only solve their problems by winning. “We lack self-esteem.”

The Blucerchiati have scraped only three draws from the opening seven rounds and travel to Livorno on Sunday afternoon. Click here for a match preview.

“I always said we would play our season against another 10 teams. This was clear to me from the start,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“You need broad shoulders to take the pressure. During a campaign there are going to be ups and downs, so it is not a definitive trend. We must be able to face moments like this.

“We are a good squad, we just lack self-esteem and that can come by winning games.”

Sampdoria look set to opt for the 3-4-1-2 system with Eder and Gianluca Sansone supporting Manolo Gabbiadini.

“We can work well with this system and get something good out of it.”
