Two Premiership clubs reportedly sent scouts to watch Verona midfielder Jorginho on Sunday afternoon.
According to whispers in the peninsula, both Arsenal and Chelsea had representatives at the Stadio Bentegodi yesterday.
The youngster, born in Brazil but available for the Italian national side, is catching the eye of bigger sides.
Although he scored two spot-kicks in the 3-2 win over Parma, boss Andrea Mandorlini wasn’t too impressed with his performance.
“I think he played his worst game of the season,” the tactician told the Gazzetta dello Sport. “I changed his position more than once because he was struggling.
“In the end I decided to not replace him and perhaps that was the right decision…”
Jorginho’s second penalty came in the 87th minute.
Milan and Fiorentina have been paired with the 21-year-old in the past.
