Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Pradè insists there is even more to come from Sunday’s hat-trick hero Giuseppe Rossi.
The Italian international, now back in action after missing almost two years with injury, inspired the Viola to a 4-2 victory over Juventus after being 2-0 down.
“Giuseppe is still not in the best shape, he can still improve a lot,” the official told Radio Anch'io Lo Sport on Monday.
“But we are very proud of him, he is not even at 70 per cent and he is already decisive. He’s still a bit behind physically.”
The striker joined the Florence outfit in January from Villarreal, even if he had yet to recover from his second knee operation.
“We decided to sign him after talking with [former Villarreal teammates] Gonzalo Rodriguez and Borja Valero,” added the ex-Roma director.
“They told us that he was the best they had ever played alongside. That was when the desire to get him was born.
“But we waited until October to start talks with Villarreal.”
