Nico Lopez is confident Udinese can end Roma’s 100 per cent record in Serie A this season when the two teams meet this weekend.
“Roma are a very strong outfit, who are looking to finish first and win everything,” the Uruguayan told Udinese Channel.
“They have been playing a perfect championship so far. We will face them on Sunday and I think we can play a good match and win the three points.
“I hope I get to play and score…”
The tie will be of special significance to the forward given that he is co-owned by both clubs. He moved to Udine in the summer as part of the Mehdi Benatia transfer.
“I am growing here and I am very happy about it,” added the 20-year-old. “I knew it would have been hard at first because I had to change city, club and teammates.
“The squad is splendid and has helped me a lot.”
Lopez has yet to score for the Bianconeri in three appearances so far this season.
