Juan Zuniga has rejected talk that he could one day play for Real Madrid or Barcelona by committing his future to Napoli.
The Colombian was being linked with both Spanish giants, as well as Juventus, given that his contract was set to expire in June.
However, the defender recently put pen to paper on new terms until the summer of 2018.
“A future at Real Madrid or Barcelona? To be honest I am very happy to be a Napoli player and I want to continue doing well here,” he told Radio Caracol.
The South America is currently on the treatment table after going under the knife at the start of this week.
“I’ve been struggling with a knee injury for a while,” he added. “The best decision was to have surgery.
“I knew it would mean being out of action for some time, but I will now be able to fully recover from the issue.”
