'Roma want to be world's best'

Roma CEO Italo Zanzi has revealed that the capital side want to become ‘the best club in the world’.

Speaking to BBC Sport, the board member outlined to Giallorossi’s plans for the next few seasons, whilst also commenting on their record-breaking start to this season.

“We must not think about the eight wins a row too much,” he told the organisation. “Because that is not our ultimate goal.

“We want to become the best club in the world – both on the pitch and off it.

“We believe that we have all the ingredients to do that and put Roma on top of the football world.

“We have a unique opportunity here. We are very glad we have a Coach as good as Garcia leading us.

“I think we have everything here to do well this season and in the future.

“Our immediate goal however, is to get back into Europe.”
