Guidolin: 'Another Udinese miracle'

Francesco Guidolin respects Roma, Rudi Garcia and Mehdi Benatia as Udinese search for “another miracle.”

While Udinese are stuttering, they are still unbeaten in 22 League games on home turf. The Giallorossi have a 100 per cent record and conceded just one goal with ex-Udinese defender Benatia.

“Mehdi is an intelligent lad, tenacious and very determined,” said Coach Guidolin in a Press conference.

“Like many, he was a gamble we won. The Giallorossi are strong and Garcia is an excellent tactician. He has been able to put everything back in the right place, starting from Francesco Totti and Daniele De Rossi.

“We must do well to make the diagonal passes at the right time so we can hurt them.”

Totti, Gervinho and Mattia Destro have not made the trip to Udine due to injury, while the hosts are without Maurizio Domizzi.

“As things stand, we are so-so. We’ve got to put everything we’ve got on to the pitch, because for three years we performed miracles. A win here would be like another miracle.”

It will be a very special game for Nico Lopez, the striker who is on loan at Udinese from Roma.

Udinese squad for Roma: Benussi, Brkic, Kelava; Gabriel Silva, Basta, Bubnjic, Douglas, Naldo, Heurtaux, Danilo, Widmer; Jadson, Badu, Lazzari, Allan, Merkel, Pereyra, Pinzi, Bruno Fernandes; Maicosuel, Di Natale, Nico Lopez, Muriel, Ranegie
